Hornby’s 2009 steam locomotive range will be led by two brand new locomotives – the highly sought-after BR ‘Clan’ 4-6-2 and the GWR-designed ‘Castle’ 4-6-0. Topping the diesel and electric bill is a model of Britain’s first Japanese built train – the Hitachi Class 395 high speed commuter EMU for use on the newly opened section of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. Initially Hornby is offering two versions of the ‘Clan’ – 72000 Clan Buchanan and 72008 Clan Macleod with early and late crests respectively – and these are expected to be available in the second quarter of 2009...
